Pangolin Voyager Houseboat – Botswana

About

The Pangolin Voyager Houseboat travels along the Chobe River in Chobe National Park in Botswana. It is essentially a safari boat. Taking a trip to Botswana and getting on this boat will allow visitors to view all sorts of wildlife at the Caprivi floodplain. From the boat, you can explore Chobe National Park, the Bushman Plains, Vic Falls, Okavango Delta and go on a photo safari at Mosi Oa Tunya. This boat caters to birders, photographers, and wildlife enthusiasts. There are five cabins over three levels in the boat and can hold up to 8 people in total. This boat is the ultimate experience for someone to witness African wildlife up close. At the floodplains, you can see buffalo, hippo, antelopes, lions, and leopards. The chairs in the boat can be fitted with a camera mount for photographers. The photo tour guides on the boat have also been trained in photography and the behavior of the animals. The Chobe River is a prime and important birding area. Warwick Tarboten, a well-known birder, created a list of over 390 birds that can be seen just from the boat! Even more birds can be seen farther away. The first quarter of the year has tons of summer migrant birds when most birders love visiting to see all of them. The river has one of the highest populations of Fish Eagles in Africa, and there are many more to be seen. Owen has photographed the African Spoonbill, African Jacana, African Openbill, and others here. He traveled on this boat in September 2016.
