Located in the Chiriquí Highlands of Panama, Boquete Tree Trek Eco-Adventure park is located 3,200 feet above sea level. It is a resort hotel with 10 hotel rooms, 4 cabins, and a restaurant. It is perched on the slopes of Volcan Baru and built on a 40-hectare section of private nature reserve land. The Resort is home to miles of waterfalls, rivers, hiking trails, and spots for birdwatching within the Talamanca Mountain range, making it an ideal place for many types of birds to dwell. Boquete offers a wide variety of tours and activities from a coffee tour at Rio Cristal Farm, learning about the Camellia Sinensis tea plant on tea tours, Tour de Ron La Solera, to Tree Trek handing bridge tour that takes you to 6 suspension bridges covering a 4.5-kilometer route through the treetops of Panama’s tropical Rio Cristal forest, to bird watching tours. A perfect getaway location for avid birders and others alike. You can see over 150 species of birds within the protected forest, with most being endemic to the area. Owen has photographed Prong-billed Barbets, Spangle-cheeked Tanagers, White-throated Mountaingems, and other species here. The Rio Cristal, a natural reserve in the protected forest is an unbelievable experience you do not want to miss when traveling to this part of Panama. Boquete Tree Trek Eco-Adventure park also offers transportation to allow you to easily travel through Boquete and facilitates transportation to other great locations in Panama such as trips to Bocas del Torro.
